Be neighbourly – Neighbours who might normally complain tend to be more understanding when warned in advance. If you are concerned that your party might be large, loud or parking-intensive, don’t hesitate in being upfront with them before party begins.

Decorate – Turn on some music and have fun getting all of your decorations in place!

Check the medicine cabinet - Remove any personal items you wouldn’t want guests to see.

Cleaning kits – Without fail, you know someone will spill something on that winter white carpet of yours – so place a box of salt, club soda, and a couple of rags in a wicker basket, and store a few in strategic places in case a spill occurs.

Coat Room – No one wants to see coats lying around everyone, so make space in your closet and fill it with hangers for your guests. You could also store the coats on a bed, but make sure the room is tidy and free of your valuables.
